BELIZE ITINERARY

April 9-11	Arrival—Those arriving April 8 or 9 will participate in a localor 10 will participate in a local excursion (snorkeling) and have those days free for exploration.  You will need $$ to get from Belize City to San Pedro Town ($100 to fly, plus $5 to get from airport to Pedro’s Inn; $35 ferry, $8 to get to the ferry station from the airport)
April 11, 5 p.m.	First group meeting/TBA
April 12, 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. 7-9  p.m.	Tour of schools, meeting with school officials, exploration, debrief. Group dinner/TBA
April 13 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.	Meet with Minister of Education’s rep-Candy Armstrong (possible lunch meeting); plan PD, meet with principals
April 14 7:30-4 p.m.	Plan PD or deliver PD
April 15 7:30-4 p.m.	Plan PD or deliver PD
April 16 7 a.m.	Leave for Belize City by ferry ($35); transfer to Zoo; dinner at the Zoo, overnight at the Zoo  OR   Free day-plan excursion (TBA) for those leaving on April 17
April 17	Breakfast at Zoo, ATM Cave Tour $65 plus tip $6-7; Lunch and tour at ATM Cave; transfer to San Ignacio-Cahal PechResort (??),  stay overnight.
April 18	San Ignacio-explore Cahal Pech Ruins-fee to get in, I don’tknow what it is, plus tip or free day.
April 19	Breakfast at Cahal Pech ($6 plus tax); Caracol Tour with Rio Frio and Rio On Pools Tour-includes lunch and transportation ($65).  Bring $$ for a tip ($5)
April 20	Breakfast at Cahal Pech ($6 plus tax) Free day-may visit Galen University
April 21	Breakfast at Cahal Pech ($6 plus tax) 10 a.m. express bus to Belize City ($4.50, cab to ferry $5, ferry to San Pedro $35)
April 22	Return to schools, last minute excursions, good-by dinner
April 23	Leave for US
